           Gentle Forest Evening

Leap the diurnal bounds of human strife.
Allow the quintessently silent grandeur
of a wilderness sunset and bold-bright moon
   arising
to dissolve all worldly cares of man.
What are past, present, and future time
to these ancient mountain forests…
in this realm of streaming moonbeam
   shadows and perfect serenity,
where one may taste the purest essence
of Nature’s subtle majesty.

You meld poetry and geology so intricately.  Again, you share a beauty.
