Sometimes you feel depleted
depressed, heavy,
and can't understand what happened.
It's really quite simple:
you had an encounter
with the human energy thief!

A what, you say?
An energy grabber, one who takes
and wastes and never gives back.
Such individuals abound,
especially in man's cities.
They are fearful, angry,
like cornered animals;
still reacting to that horror flick
they watched the night before
or the headline in the daily press.
Their darkened reality made up
of manufactured fears and phobias.

They live inside a vacuum
which they can never fill,
use those around
as crutches for an anemic spirit.
They are the human equivalent
of the dark hole in space,
where energy is sucked, never to escape.

Beware the human black hole,
the energy sucker, the taker,
who preys on weakness, sickness,
gullibility and misplaced compassion;
vampires of the spirit
who destroy hope, dreams and living schemes
to assuage an unsatable hunger
for the life that escapes them.

WW, you know that I know whereof you speak. You stated it very well!!!

Whenever one of those energy thieves begins to drain your batteries, so to speak, imagine you are in a mirror box with all 4 reflective sides, as well as the top and bottom, facing outward.

Man oh man! That's a lot we have to beware of.

I hear ya. The truth is the truth.

Great read!

I'm off to get my batteries charged.

Yo WindWalker,

"Such individuals abound,
especially in man's cities."

That's okay, us city folks can handle it.

Beware, we might send them out to the burbs or the country to "get ya".

W W those evil theives will only grab you if you let them. Linda's idea is very good,
don't let them get behind your guard.
I enjoyed the post. love.
