         Thunderous Silence

When life becomes an empty boat
on a sea of lost and broken dreams,
perhaps ‘enlightenment’
is but the final illusion
to be surrendered
by all ruined souls entangled
in a web of infinite remorse,
regret, and thunderous silence.

I read this five times in a row before I even thought of commenting. Profound, deep writing. Very well done.

Sometimes you use that pen like a Samurai sword and cut all us puny little mortals down to size, Bruce, but you do it with such styleand grace.

You are the king of melancholy, dear Bruce.
Good that you used "perhaps"... your pensive mood gifts you with great poetic creativity.

Love,
Margherita

The kind of silence that begs to be broken.

Yo Secondhanddreampoet,

I’m rather entranced by the thought of “thunderous silence”.

I don’t believe in ruined souls.

Can seem that way sometimes but I believe it's also important and part of the repair cycle.

The arrangement of thoughts here is exceptional.

This is definitely one that begs the reader to pause and read again and ponder. *S* Well done! *S*
