Listen while I fine tune
the strings of my heartbeat,
and you shall hear
the melody of a Nightingale
in joyous rapture;
vibrating sweet chords of harmony
in a passionate flow
as indigo sky fades to ebony
before filling the void
with twinkling golden starlight
flung randomly across the sky.

Feel my heartstrings
as they vibrate in tune
to the sounds of love,
echoing for all ears
to be filled with songs
of peace, goodwill, harmony.
Listen to the refrain
that nurtures unity
sung on timeless winds,
for each soul who would
but listen
with open heart.

Namaste, namaste, namaste.

Kacy
You're on a roll dear lady.

Much wisdom here.

"Listen to the refrain
that nurtures unity
sung on timeless winds,
for each soul who would
but listen
with open heart."

Need people to sing that refrain on a world wide scale..

I bow to you with deep respect my lady friend.
This is a fine work.

I don't know when I've heard a more beautiful song, Kacy. It reminds me of a prayer I read somewhere that goes something like this.
O' Great Power,
that rules and controls
the children of earth,
Teach me the symphony of life,
that my nature
may be in tune with thine.

Dear, dear Kacy, you have tears of happiness rolling down my cheeks at the heartsong poem and your good health news (that has had me in continuous and grateful wonderment since you told us)!  I hear you poem and your heartstrings loud and as clear as church bells on Christmast day!  This is a most special poem for as many reasons as there are nuances to your happiness and ours!

Kacy, my friend, you have always had a very kind and loving heart. I don't think your heart is so out of tune. Hope you are doing well, my friend.

Really strong. Lines like "with twinkling golden starlight
flung randomly across the sky", absolutely soar! There are some very talented writers here. I am fortunate to read such words.

grand-fine ending in particular:

"Listen to the refrain
that nurtures unity
sung on timeless winds,
for each soul who would
but listen
with open heart(!)"

continuing applause for this 'penning'!!

I love what you wrote here, especially your reference to the timeless wind!
That is a lovely thought, and your poem is a beautiful one.

I truly enjoyed reading your thoughts, they flowed so softly, moving me in the best way.
