The scent is in the air!

Oil of splatter'd skunk
freshens highway bordered by
fields spread from swine pits

and I should know better by now, then to read a title of yours and pre-suppose the content!

LMAO

this poem is hilariously cynical.  The scents of spring aren't all rosebuds and apple blossoms.  It's fresh manure and roadkill too.

LOL, not the scents we prefer.
Good to read your take on spring.

I ache for Spring.

I don't care how it smells as long as I can feel some warmth.

  nice to see you!

This reminds me of years ago when my son was about 5, and we went to visit a farm for the first time.  He went to pet the "pussy cat" and my lord, I hope to never smell that ever again that close!  ((*^))  Your poem is really cute.

gosh, this is so vivid, that it brought back memories from my home country. There in Switzerland I have smelled too much of that stuff!!!

... but probably even the snowdrops grow more beautifully after that treatment!!

Enjoyed much!

Love,
Margherita
