Bones is fourteen,
and tall for his age.

He works at a fancy hotel,
and lives there too.

He’s got the forged working paper
that say he’s sixteen,
and that’s okay.

He’s a pickle boy,
he runs around the dining room,
carrying a tray full of butter chips,
pickles, and relish.

He wears a nice white suit,
he keeps real clean.

The hotel guests like him,
they think he’s cute.

They give him nice tips.

Bobby

Sounds like a good time in Bone's life.

Good for Bones and his self esteem will come up a little.

Go Bones go!

Thanks dear Ida,

Yes, it was a very good time, back about 1955.

Thanks Eric,

It was a very good time for Bones.  Back about 1955.

Bone learned not to hate rich people at that place.

The guests were very kind to him.  He'll always remember their kindness.

No one else will say it?  Then I will.

These poems are terrible.  they're dull prose weirdly spaced to make them seem like interesting poetry.  Apparently they chronicle the life of some really average, really boring entity.  there is nothing universal behind the words.  only sad old bones.

I am glad he found a job were he wasn't abused.  It must of been nice to get away, even for a moment.

Thanks dear Juju,

Yes, it was nice to get away for a while.  But not too far away.

Thanks Steavenr,

I'm happy you enjoyed this poem.

Yes, that's what they used to call us.  There were two of us in the dining room.
