Pool of Reverie
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

Languid lie I, in liquid dreams,
where pool warm thoughts of you.
Images mirrored on waters still,
~ memories of loving true.

A twirling leaf in slow descent,
falls from yon willow tree.
And rests upon the surface calm,
of this pool of reverie.

Love is the unifying force which integrates
one’s soul with that of another.

I appreciate your appreciation of my poem and that it offered a balm to your soul.

Your "pool of reverie" is totally after my heart, dear Linda Angelo Terrestre.

And it has a the rhythm of gentle waves, an effect of serene tranquility.

Wonderful.

A beautiful poem Linda, we all have our pool of reverie to retreat to.

Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told.

Linda, this is really beautiful, and fits my mood perfectly this morning, as I penned one in the wee hours with this line: 'I am she, who sits in silent reverie' (not yet posted).
(I posted it late afternoon, "I am she")

On a night when my thoughts are churning so that any pool of them would make a person seasick, I needed the serenity of this...

Your wry, witty humour, cracks me up! ~ "Seasick" ~ I'd risk it! Mind you, I'm relieved that my poem offered you the "oasis" that you are in need of.

~ May gentle breezes fill your sails as you sail calm seas.
