Dang, Silas,
this isn’t my set;
it’s yours,
but I’m here,
watching,
looking at a movie,
munching,
drinking,
wondering,
and all the while,
you’re
lying in the grave.

I wonder if
it’ll be working
after I’m gone.

I hope so, Bro,
I hope so.

Bye, big man;
see you later.

Silas Stepp, Little all American basketball player, University of Nevada at Las Vegas (UNLV). Little? It's just a designation, of course. He was 6'9" and his heart was bigger than his tallness.

Dear Arthur Chapman jr., Poet, you have written a piece with great impact, I would say.

I wonder about this too sometimes. Now they even make advertising with actors who have moved on long ago. Miracle of technological evolution.

This is fantastic!

Love,
Margherita

Thank you, dearest Margherita, your loving kindness is a beacon in the night along dark and uncertain shores. It is a gift, heaven sent.

And thank you, Bobby. You have a big heart as well, and it is expressed in the poems you write.

I liked this poem better when I didn't know who Silas was.  I like to read it as a person feeling guilty for going on with the daily humdrum of life after the death of a friend.  It's an emotion I can more closely relate to.

i like how this poem isnt bogged down in pseudo-poetics and stunted by overwrought rhymes.  it's all heart.  it's a very good poem.
