Crimson Borders Black

You have returned, to blow life into my silent pen
Beating forth with heart, another chapter to begin
Like lace, on a valentine camisole, or red on wings of black
Around again comes filtered back
Crimson borders black
Palatial tides of setting sun against the velvet night
You have returned, beginnings to an ending flight
The sculpted edges lay in accent upon satin skin
Filtered back comes round again
Crimson borders black
Inspired by this grand foray, the words upon the paper play
Light of heart, in fullness speculations kept in disarray
For purpose beats within, another chapter to begin
Like lace, on a valentine camisole, or red on wings of black
Around again comes filtered back
Crimson borders black

Hi Diamond,

I like this tribute to your muse very much and I especialy like
the perspective of "filtering" the inspiration through one's pen.

A very insightful write.

Even a muse needs a vacation but it is nice when it finds it's way to inspire us.  Beautifully done Kathleen.

Nice expression of your artistic wells filling up again with an active muse.

Love the title as applied to the context.

Very good write!

I love the images of nature that seem to flow from your pen...love this line:

"Palatial tides of setting sun against the velvet night"

...so glad your 'muse' has returned

Your words are "Like lace, on a valentine camisole"

The life blown back into your pen, is a beautiful thing to behold.
