It’s Ash Wednesday,
and Bones is coming home
from School.

Some big kids are standing there.
One of them points at Bones,
and says:

“Yo, there’s one of them cat-lickers.”

Bones doesn’t know
what to make of that,
he goes home and asks Mom
what a cat licker is.

Mom sits him down,
and tells him that
their making fun of him
because he a Catholic.

She explains about
all the holy saints,
and how they died
defending the faith.

She tells him
that no matter how big they are,
he has to fight them,
he has to be a
defender of the faith.

He goes right out
and starts hitting the big guy
that called him a cat-licker.

The big kids
beat him to a pulp.

Bones feels good about that.

He feels like he’s
a true defender of the faith.

Bobby

Bobby, you wrote this very well. I
also think we should be "Defenders Of The Faith"

This is an interesting write.  I like how your poems intermingle in a story line.

Thanks Tao power,

I'm sorry to hear you can't find the beginning of the Bones thread.  You'll have to wait until the book comes out.

I will give you a hint, Bones is a person.  Don't be too confused, while many people treat Bones like a dog, he's a very human boy prostitute.

Of course being confused is not a good thing.  I wish you the best of luck with that.

Bobby
