Sick as a Dog
by Linda L. Dowd

I’m as weak as a newly born kitten,
For the flu bug has laid me low.
I’m as sick as a dog on a Whirl-a-Twirl,
~ My vigor’s been struck quite a blow.

Today I’ll just rest and recuperate.
~ Sip fluids and avoid all food.
I’ll cozy up under my comforter,
Until there’s a lift in my mood.

Aw too bad.

You need a real good cuddling but my arms just aren't long enough.

Lots of fluids, 1/2 pint rum with cinamon and lemon heated.....Make ya sweat and maybe even dance after you get better.

Wishing you well soon as possible.

Yo Linda,

I hope you feel better soon.

Talking about sick dog, my Hilda got sick and pooed all over the floor the other night.

That's okay, shes a sweetheart, and she's all better too.

I know the day ain't great, but the smile has to cheer you up a bit!

I do so hope that you are feeling better.  I think you need a care package of gingerale, chicken soup, a gossip magazine, a rainy day movie, and notes from friends.

I love you.  Drink lots of liquids and rest lots.

Love,
Alison

Oh, Linda, here's a big bowl of chicken soup for body and soul, a big brotherly hug from across the e-divide!

Get well soon, and confirm it in another magnificent poem!

Try my grandfather's hot toddy:

Juice of one lemon.
Two spoons of dark brown sugar.
One cinnamon stick
A good shot of whisky.
Top up with hot water.

(It tastes horrible... it doesn't cure anything... but you don't care so much after having one!)
Actually; it can help you to sweat it out.  Get well soon.... and the poem?....10/10.

Oh, my dear Linda Angel!

You are sooooo right, in reaching out with this delightful poem you will recover in no time, through all the love and the hugs that you will receive in return. Love and caring are the main ingredients of healing, you do know that.

Feel better quickly, dear friend!

Love and warm hugs.
Margherita

Oh boy be careful and do stay inside.  I fought it, and ended up with not one, but two virus, and pneumonia.  This added up to 13 days in "Isolation" in the hospital.  I am still trying to get stronger, and it is a very slow process.

Take care.

Dear Linda I'm so sorry to hear that you are as sick as a dog. I told my little dog

Rozzie and she said she would accept the transfer of the bug to herself and make it

easier for you. Get well soon for you are far to special to be sick. Take care. Love

Lindsay.

Hope you'll feel better soooooon. So nice the poem, but sad about the flu

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Hope you're feeling better, Linda. I've been very busy cleaning while my son-in-law has been painting the inside of my house so I'm tired (not as easy as it used to be) but it's a lot better than being sick.
Try that hot toddy. That's what my Dad used to give us kids.

Hope you are feeling better. Get rid of that nasty ole bug.
This has been my year for colds. I started last year in Sept. I've averaged about 7 cold so far. Waiting for the sun to shine and stop this darn ole drippy nose and a cough that comes from my toes.A cough that comes from your toes ruins a lot of shoes. LOL.

Get Well Soon
Hugs

Bonnie ~

Sounds like your immune system needs a boost.

I started out with the stomach flu which lowered my resistance and then the cold virus took hold. Mind you, I managed to get over all that 'sick' schtuff rather quickly ~ not the 3 weeks that seems to be the case with this nasty bug!

Be well! Be happy! Be you!
