Last night
I saw you,
in a vivid dream.

I crawled over you
in lamps light,
a confident shadow.
Tasted you,
tasted the way
you calmly breathe.

I relaxed your shoulders,
and traced parts of you
the lamplight didn't need
or see fit to uncover.
Traced the tender parts of you
left in tender darkness.

Last night,
I kissed you gently
in a vivid dream.
You tasted real.
