Thank you for this birthday gift,

all wrapped up in ribbons and bows,

th birthday gift to me of you.

You have given me one year of your Life,

yet have not asked anything of me.

If I would ask the Universe for anything,

I would ask ... I think,

for another year of Life.

But if another year of Life I may not have,

It would be okay.

I wouldn't be angry or bitter.
I would give up my Life,
knowing someone else will have a chance to live.
