A Gentle Re-Wiind

of both leaf
and mixed metaphor
when you'd capture me
in the passion of rhyme
making one, the other's,

longwise, filling the
sleeve of my symetry
the ease of your shadow,
a tonic refurbishing
lines left unpolished
as vacancies, waiting,
cast on the seats of
winterworn branches

but you hadn't come round again
flightless in once, a storm,
the wrens, for the most part
songless, in sadness of season

harkened, your voice now
vies for resonance
with the hailing of reverie
that plays on the crosswinds
and echoes the sweetness
of your coming

Angel in waiting,
the soft humming of wing
breaks the stillness of was
bringing hope and faith
today's tomorrows
birthing
is yesterday's long

wing upon wing
the blossoms on branches.

Thanx everyone, once more a pleasure to write with such talent! Writing a great Duet is in the understanding of each other, I enjoy writing duets for just this purpose.

... afterall, it IS who you know!!  : )

Hard to do a duet of poetry and make it feel as if from one pen but you two did an exceptional job on this.  Excellent collaboration and mind spelling as well.  Take your bows, you both deserve them on this.

Working with Ctowen comes as natural as breezes on beaches, well...something like that

Ha, ha, ha .... I've crossed the G.W. once or twice on a windy day, not sure if the breeze on the beach was as comforting!! I suggest more try to write a Duet with Inky, she can help you find that something missing.

Thank you for the compliment, you made it a breeze!
