My life has been hard.

No one can put themselves
here within my shoes,
no one can make the decisions
when faced with what I've had to choose.

And if you don't really know me
I expect you will judge,
by the poems I write here
with a friend's gentle nudge.

Yeah, I have more friends than enemies
and I have more love than hate,
and I have a book being published soon,
so let's not stop to contemplate.

You either love me or not,
and either way unless
you are a true friend to me
I really could care less.

I am blessed indeed.
And no matter what you reply
to this poem of mine right here
I will hold you each...dear nigh.

Hey, congrats on the book. I don't think anyone can fully understand the trials of another person. Trying is all we can do, and that's what friends do. And then they get to share the joys, too. So it's all good.

I come here and read the poems though I might not reply, and I know I am not alone. I see the battles that are fought and I feel the pain as well as the happiness shared here in these blue pages.

A book eh? Good for you.
Just read your other sagely wise poem ( distance) and I can see more loving you than hating you.
We all go through twists and turns in our life but there's no reason to hate anyone unless they violently kill your family for no reason or give you genuine reasons to hate them. And, unfortunately some do.

There are things though, I hate war, greed, disloyalty, unkindness, lovers of money, self assuming people, haughty people, unthankful people, people puffed up with pride, people that love pleasure more than people, people that slander other people, people that betray other people rather than being open and honest, people that won't try and communicate and reach an amicable agreement, and and and and anyone that hates you Dixie.
So there you see, you're loved.
