Whether heavy and gray
in the cold of winter, or in the dark,
nimbus plumes of summer,
we look to them with attachments
from long ago---like soft, warm blankets,
shielding us from the ghosts
of night---clouds, so beautiful
in the melancholy of silence.

The rain didn't come; the clouds are gone. Now I must look to the blue sky for a poem.

From one cloud-gazer to another, I especially liked your closing lines ~

"so beautiful
in the melancholy of silence."

Keep your eyes to the skies!

Yes, Linda, let these amber eyes ever look to the bright, blue skies!

Thanks so much,

I am glad that you looked to the clouds, Art, and shared your thoughts in this poem.  I like it.
