Hues of love
==================
She was not wearing red
at that point of time when we met.
He had been listening
to the meanings, colors denote
and watching for a red rose
that he might pluck from neighbor’s patch.
He was wearing blue dreams,-
faded and could be taken
as his good old denim.
He ruffled his hair, adjusted;
the way a lover
was supposed to look,- in love, lost.

She wasn’t waiting for him.
The boy was barely in his teen.
The red bus stopped, took her
for a ride according to ticket.

The boy waited for the day next.
He would be there, dawdling in dream.

Oh, my dearest Ku!!! How wonderfully you describe this young boy and his first "motions of passion". He had the dream and the vision and it made him feel alive and awakening to life's greatest gift: Love.

You have no idea how this reminded me of an episode my own son experienced when he asked me if it was adequate that he would bring a red rose to the girl who had made his heart beat faster. It was a ritual and though he felt somehow "awkward and shy" he did it with moving dignity. Helas, she was a beauty from California and went back home soon into her own glittering world, but the memory is sweet nonetheless.

Again, while reading your poem, it did glide into my mind like a movie, not to be forgotten either.

Great that you came by today!

Love and hugs.

Your compassion for other people, I believe, along with your intelligent observation amongst many other things, enables you to write such exquisite, sensitive poetry.  If only there were a lot more Kushals in the world - to quote the lyrics of one of the many songs that Louis Armstrong made his own - what a wonderful world it would be!
