You have sailed the ocean of life alone And met every obstacle along the way You have overcame all the odds To make it where you are today One thing remains and soon you will see The joy of giving love to someone you need You have been tested and God lent his hand Removed bonds from your heart to love again A heart so tender that it surpasses all goals A love for mankind that you cherish and hold Light along the path that others may find their way Reasons for loving you, I can't walk away Your boat may be small and the ocean so wide But i would give my life to be by your side To remove the shadows of fear from your heart To protect you from harm, and be a small part To recognize your tears when you cry in the rain Always take pride in being your hero again and again Never look for faults, only find the good in you Until my last breath of life, i promise to you |
