Whoa Bobby! How long was it up? I try to read everybody's posts, but it takes a moment, my friend. I'm getting slower and slowerer at multitasking!

Art,

Don't worry about it pal.  It was up about 24 hours, and no one bothered it.

Just for you, here it is.

"In their raid on Madame Queen’s Brothel,
the gang didn’t fail to pick up
some change from the Queen’s coffers.

They relieved her
of a roll of bills
fit to choke a Rhinoceros.

Bones decided that loot should go
to throwing a big,
loud, party

in honor of the gang
that had saved him from
a living, hell on earth."

Thanks Bobby. I may or may not agree with the moral implications of a poem, but the test for me is, is it true to life" And Bones' party is  a slice of the pie!

Thanks Art,

I'm very pleased that you enjoyed Bones party.  As far as the moral implications of stealing from Madame Queen goes.

Madame Queen was an evil woman.

She tried to bag me a number of times, but I was wise enough not to trust her and her sweet talk.

She hurt Bones, and she wanted to hurt me.

Bones is right!

Another twist of fate and it's coming to another end......What's just around the corner?

Thanks Eric,

How Bones ends was sad.  He was brutally murdered at fourteen in the saga a few months ago.

"Being a little street kid,
you’d think on first thought
that Bones would be used to
almost anything.

However,
he wasn’t used to this,
no,
not to this.

The pain was unbearable,
and yet
they kept coming at him.

He knew
he couldn’t survive it
at all this time.

As he screamed,
and called out for his Mother,
he succumbed."

Sorry Eric.

Thanks dear Juju,

Yes, it was a nice party.

What happened to Bones must have been horrible.

If you got a chance to read the short "Angelo" series, you know Bones went straight to heaven, after receiving the last rites of the Church.

Bones is in the good place now.

I try to read everyone's poems, but please tell me that wasn't the real ending. He deserved something better than that.

Don't make me cry Bobby.

Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told.

Thanks Suncleaver,

My Bones poems are based on the lives of two old friends.  One of them died in a terrible accident on our old Subway/Elevated line here in Philadelphia.  The other is doing well.

Stories like Bones are not uncommon.  Don't cry about it, that doesn't do anyone much good.

I'm sorry if I made you sad.  As I say, that doesn't do much good.  Just think about it.

Bobby,

Rest assured that you do have an audience here. I like this piece, especially the "Queen's coffers" and "fit to choke a rhinoceros." They are among my favorites that have flowed from your pen.

Bobby, I often get 5 minutes or so to peek into PIP... but these days, my time isn't really my own. And so several days or even weeks pass before I have the chance to respond to what I've read. I know how discouraging it is to have a poem sit without responses, but be patient with the tortoises, please. *S*

Bones never fails to touch this heart. *S*

Thanks dear Suthern,

For the kind words on Bones.  Yes, he was a good guy.

This poem and another were included in my response to people, they are above.

Love Bobby
