I saw a golden crocus yesterday Through February's coverlet of snow With petals stretched for warmth of sunshine's ray I saw a golden crocus yesterday And surely hope a robin lights today As spring's first blush, proud ocherous breast he'll show I saw a golden crocus yesterday Through February’s coverlet of snow In revamping my website, I've revisited my older works... some of this stuff is SO old, I've nearly forgotten it myself! Thinking spring, and enjoying this "oldie" but goodie. We got hit with a long-lasting pea-sized rain of hail early this morning, around 3 dark thirty.  It's supposed to get to 50 today, with snow.  Oh, Mother Nature's having fun...  |

I am so ready for Spring to come, Nan. The only bad thing about that is the tornados, that come with the Spring. And, it looks like those are starting earlier, this year. But, I love to see the spring time flowers. |

Warming to the eyes and soul and gives me "some" desire to try one of these. I think I will let that desire brood awhile and maybe I will try when spring hits. Wonderful write and glad you dusted it off for us. |
