*Based on "The Seven Ages of Man" by Shakespeare

Life is but a great game,
And everyone is just a participant,
Each comes and goes,
But they all alter the scheme of things.
There are many segments to this game,
The game starts differently for each person.
First the baby comes, and the introduction starts;
The baby learns to play the game, and others urge him on.
Then comes the child, carefree and happy,
Even if the reason is simply that he can play the game.
After him comes the teenager, the one who’s pessimistic,
Who thinks everyone’s cheating,
Or he can be the optimist, and grin from ear to ear.
But soon the rediscovery ends, and wisdom takes control.
The teen that once was an extreme
Learns to love and accept the game, for each step is subject to his whims,
And he becomes a man.  These young men are not too wise
But wise enough to know virtues from faults.
As he ages, over again, the wisdom grows tenfold,
And though his body becomes frail, his mind and will stand strong.
One clings to the game, yet another lets it go; it all depends on willpower.
And, finally, cold death shall come for us all,
We lose all we had, but we gain a better peace,
Not to be disturbed by anyone or anything, our souls are quite at rest.
This is when the game ends, and everyone goes home,
Home to their Creator, be it God or Earth,
Yet others just return to play the game again.

Interesting philosophical write. By the ending, it seems you might believe in re-incarnation?

In truth, I don't know what to believe.  I'd like to believe in Heaven, but I can't.  I'd like to believe in reincarnation, but it seems too far out.  So I really don't know.
