Winds of hope feed the eternal flame
Burning so deep within my soul
Oh heart that beats and yearns for peace
Seeking refuse from embers growing cold

Majestic mountains though arrayed with beauty
Endless hills and valleys we daily climb
Shelter we need from the temptest within
Solitude becomes the savior of our mind

Storms raging on this windswept sea
We seek light through the pouring rain
Lightning silhouettes rocks on distant shores
Steadying oars, we reflect on this journey we came

Love the journey, a dream, and reality sets in
Disappearing in a mist, you were nevermore
Stamped indelible in the corners of your heart
Fleeting glimpses in my dreams remain evermore

This is one to read more than once, with a perfect title.

I especially enjoyed this:

"Lightning silhouettes rocks on distant shores
Steadying oars, we reflect on this journey we came."
