*note:  This is a quick work by me, and my planning phase took far longer than actually writing it.

There is a place called “home” that you may not believe,
For you have been forced to move from place to place,
But I assure you that this is not the case;
There are things in this world that you cannot replace.

You are a wolf, and that is all that matters,
For wolves are hated by humans, and we are naïve.
You must look out for yourselves and remain qui vive.
For even I cannot tell when humans will begin to cleave.

Canis Lupus, though you be,
There are times when status shatters.
Reasons abound for destroying others,
But I do not know when your will splatter.

There are times when I fear
That you will remain only a banshee,
But you have survived longer than I could forsee.
I do not advocate hiding in trees.

You should not be frightened of us humans,
For though we are powerful, we are timid as deer.
Perhaps when you peer
Closely at us, you may find much reason to sneer!

There is much more to say,
But not much more time to say it.
Whatever you aspire, be you brown or gray,
I will always help you, as long as you do not submit.

Poetry... such a beautiful thing.  Perhaps the most passionate and beautiful of all literature...

yeaaah... I just noticed a typo.  Here's an updated version.

There is a place called “home” that you may not believe,
For you have been forced to move from place to place,
But I assure you that this is not the case;

Reasons abound for destroying others'
And I do not know when yours will splatter.

There are times when I fear
That you will remain only a banshee,
But you have survived longer than I could forsee.
I do not advocate hiding in trees.

You should not be frightened of us humans,
For though we are powerful, we are timid as deer.
Perhaps when you peer
Closely at us, you may find much reason to sneer!

There is much more to say,
But not much more time to say it.
Whatever you aspire, be you brown or gray,
I will always help you, as long as you do not submit.

yeah, the second stanza should read

"Canis Lupus, though you be,
There are times when status shatters.
Reasons abound for destroying others',
But I do not know when yours will splatter."
