Silence Within

Next time when I fall in love
I will some how survive
A nuclear holocaust

And this man I'll love will be
As mutated and sheltered
As the woman I've become

Metaphorical equals
We'll hold hands in the silence
Nothing will need to be said

Yo dear Juju,

what emotion you inspire!  I don't know if this is actually a sad poem or a wonderfully hopeful one.  I loved the brevity of its poignancy!

"Next time when I fall in love
I will some how survive"
I thought so too and yet I did not
Very nice write!

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Very interesting---an existential consciousness of being a metaphor! I don't think I've ever encountered this idea in all my years.

Great write---

Thanks for this Juju.
Been feeling a little like this myself lately.

Sometimes more is felt from what
we don't say.
