The noble Hawk flies high into the air.
Its grace cannot be matched when it takes flight.
Even the Eagles that rule the sky must stare,
For birds like them share not grace, only might.

When in the air, the Hawk glows bright with strength;
His power seems to radiate like suns’.
He soars over the mountains, and at length,
His strength will radiate from his loved ones.

The Hawk contains within a sense of ire,
As if he has lost his happiness, too.
Not only is there ire, but there is fire
Within, burning for something lost through flu.

While power is one thing that Hawk does lack,
His endless grace shows Eagle as a quack!

Poetry... such a beautiful thing.  Perhaps the most passionate and beautiful of all literature...

I do like your work very much. Birds of Prey are my favorite subject for my Oil and Pencil Art. You described them well.

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

The hawk is a majestic creature, unlike any other of the sky or the earth.

Welcome to Pip, dear Jonathan!

Your first entry is beautifully written and though I feel both Hawk and Eagle are spectacular beings, I enjoyed your passionate write.

Love,
Margherita

Well, someone has to make a statement about the grace of the eagles!

They fly on the jetstream
and they glide high above clouds
Eagles soar over cresting waves
and make America proud

Well, that's the best I can do off the top of my head.  I enjoyed your poem and love Hawks too.  I just had to speak up for Eagles - gotta go with the underdog bird, you know.

Enjoyed and welcome to PiP.
