I was, many a month ago
Meandering though the countryside
My art flourishing, wind flowing
From where the faerie and fellicant reside.

From pen to page, and ink to air
Tread whereverfore thous't dare

But the goblins hath ne'er told me
Assasin and the soldier search at night
In evermore, the shifting cradles
Of the beacon, radiating light.

I would hath used my scimitar's retort,
But at their side flashed razors of a diff'rent sort.

They came in many numbers, yes,
Their desiccant, of sword it came.
With tomes and manuscripts, devoured
For then it was my life, aflame.

The truth, so evident in lies.
The creatures of the night, I so despise.

Drained of all my conscious thought,
And sickened to the bone
They dragged me to their master's lair.
Chartreuse his eyes, did shone.

I could never write these lines with much belief
That repression could reclaim a yearned relief.
First, he beat the Dickens
Out of tattered flesh, that anything belongs.
As his cohorts Shook speares at once
A man of many words and songs.

All that was, and ever were
I wish of not, My mind from death, for which I would deter.

I think this is a well written fantasy nightmare. Going to breathe deeply after feeling the chokehold ...

Love,
