Life, precious as fading memories
You, worth even more
I would give up every moment, every memory of every moment
For one lingering gem, your face, your heart, floating in front of me,
amongst soft whispers
Flutterings finding my ear, I love you finding yours

The sun is not half so bright, so warm, as I love you falling off your lips,
jumping, finding it's way to the depths
Past the memories, breaking through the sadness,
tearing down walls that crumble, that slowly sneak away before you,
ashamed at a light so bright

We, because there is no more talk of You or I,
We stand together,
pillars of faith that cling to each other like so many dreams that
light our world
Our world, because the rest fades to nothing, falls back because we
shine so bright,
glitter in the night sky like stars, diamonds that span the universe
Sing out with a million voices, I love you!, each one my voice
carrying your name,
Amber, floating, screaming through the black oblivion, to rest,
whisper into your ear,
soft slow pulsing with the beat of your heart, I'm sorry; our heart,
flowing through our veins,
golden streams of love that coarse through us, bind us, save us
And with every breath, like the sighing of our soul, we draw together,
like two wildflowers in a sea of black

Two souls done with searching, coming together like the center of a rainbow,
colors splashing together, colors, creating the palette of our lives
Mixing together two souls that shine across eternity, breaking down the darkness
And us like a sunrise splashing our golden rays on a day no longer dark,
winning away the night to a day of endless possibilities, our rays
chasing away any demons,
fighting back the darkness that threatens to swallow a sun so bright,
our love, the champion of our soul

And if the dark should threaten,
knock on the door step of a love so bright,
with gritted teeth and hands held tight we will fight free to a brighter day,
for the sun may set and the nights get cold,
but the sun always returns and I promise always to keep you warm,
with arms around your stomach, and a heart that will forever whisper your name,
today, tomorrow, and for all the days and nights of my life,
I love you.

Nicely done. I especially liked the third strophe. This is a subject that is way overdone and it is rare to find a poem that expresses the sentiment of love well.

If you are thinking of improving this, you might consider trimming it down a bit.

Splendid
"Two souls done with searching, coming together like the center of a rainbow,"
I know what that feels like. Very nice!

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.
