I Said;  I Love You

How many times have I said; “I love you”?
        Let me count the ways,
How long can a love grow deeper and stronger?
            Let me count the days.

You’ve stayed with me through thick and thin,
        Let me count the miles,
You have always been there by my side,
            Let me count the smiles.

We have shared the best of our lives together,
        Let me count the years,
We’ve held each other through pain and sorrow,
            Let me count the tears.

Of all the joys this world has given,
The happiest time in my life,
Started that day, and every day since,
            You became my wife.

How Can I tell you, so you’ll understand?
“I Love you” aren’t just words that you see,
You gave your heart to my heart; not just for now,

         “Let me count for Eternity”.

The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked.

What a beautiful valentine for that special someone. I don't know of a woman alive who wouldn't love this.

A beautiful poem for the beauty of love, it's celebration and all it's joys and sorrows. I loved it.

Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told.

These words should grace a Hallmark Valentine's Day card! ~ A beautiful expression of love and adoration for your wife. God bless you both!

I truly was touched by the genuiness and the poetic beauty of your words.

Love the loyalty and devotion in this piece.
The world is sadly lacking in this type of moral character and it's sure nice to read it in these fine words you penned.

Dad, This is so very beautiful, Shellie is going to love it. (I'm guessing you are giving it to her for Valentines?)

Love ya,  Trace.

it kinda reminded me of "how do i love thee,,let me count the ways"...by ms.browning..

but this one is special in it's own way.
i really like this. . .
the idea of counting...everything on the poem...made it co beautiful...cuz the truth is...

we never can count all that you said,no way..it's like counting stars...

i love this really...very much.

_Patch,  I did kinda use that verse as a base for this work, but to be honest, I don't know that poem more than that line.
So I wrote what I felt.

Thank you for your kind appreciation of my love poem.

Love, Tracey

Hello Tracey, your poem tells me that counting is very important, you put it so gracefully and I had a very enjoyable read, there are so much things that count that we can't count them, thank you for the thoughtful poem.

varun,  It takes two.
If one gives with out getting, one will run out of love.  it's always give and give, not give and take like the old saying.  If you both give,  you will naturally get without having to take.

Welcome to PIP.

My Son, I am so proud of you and so happy that you have found the love of your life. That she can bring out the deep love you both so richly deserve.
