Listening to every heart

Hidden
[Terza Rima]

Somewhere, hidden deep in blackest archive
A treasured chest of words in blessed blend
Somewhere, hidden deep, where they, alive,

Comforting with truth, mayhap love, portend
Where I shall win my rest and nightly ease,
Neither nightmare nor concern shall contend

Whereby this heart be held lone in love’s seize
Where this mind be bent in blessed relief
Where worries art cast to far away breeze

I pray that the dark skies shall not be brief
But long bathe in your words among the sheets
Allowing salt soak of past tears base grief

Below, Crier sings as he walks the streets
Calling out that all is well, all is well
My weep a silent, lone, and somber beat

Somewhere, hidden deep, is my love’s sweet swell
Somewhere, hidden deep, peels my mourning bell

This post just proves that one can also enjoy the things that have been.

I like the tone of this -- it's compelling.

More than a memorable milestone, Sunshine, but a personal triumph in the timeless art of poetry. These verses held me rapt, word for word and line for line, unto the sobering conclusion---oh, that bell that tolls for all! Let me be ever more mindful of the gift of time, and all that is yet to be.

Always enjoy your poetry, Karilea. A good poet always has another poet at the tip of their fingers.

You are so elequent in your longing for the closeness of love.
I am not much of a poet so I had to look up what type of poem this is and am amazed that you can word it so well in this format.
That's what happens when one is an old story teller and song writer but I surely appreciate the wonderful talent so many here have shown in so many poetic styles.

That's wonderful that you have held to such a love for writing and for others with so many posts here at Passions.

May you post several million more!

I could have sworn I had replied to this.  I went through the responses twice to check, but it seems I didn't.  Anyway, it is very beautiful.  When you find that treasure chest, you should search in it for the poetry of Sunshine!  It will bring you all the comfort you need.

As always your Poetry is uplifting and sooo expressive. I want to say
" I got Sunshine on a cloudy day...........

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.
