January 17th was the day it happened.
It was a fine day in Arkansas.
I married him; blue eyes, blond hair,
Mississippi man with a cowboy draw.

We got us a simple life here;
a single-wide trailer 12 miles from town,
a dog named Spike, a cat named Drop,
and all our veggies grown from the ground.

Never thought a city girl like me
would end up in a life like this,
nothing but farmland and cows,
the ocean is something I truly miss.

Hardly any jobs unless you farm,
Wal-Mart is the biggest store.
But I got love and it's all I need,
I'm a married woman...

nothing is
as before.

congrats...and there is great truth in your last lines...

"the ocean is something I truly miss"

oh, how I relate to this...I stopped wearing socks when I lived by the ocean...and for a guy who wears a blue serge suit, that can be a real conversation starter...

Congratulations dear Dixie, I hope that everything that you hope for will come to

fruition for you and your husband. Always remember the most important ingrediant in

marriage, after love is 'Tolerance' and plenty off it. May you have a long and happy life together.

Dear ((((Dixie)))) congratulations! May you be able to adjust to this land far from the sea. May love glue you to this new life style.
I love the idea of the veggies that you grow together. Plant some flowers too! It will bring satisfaction and fill you with a sense of home, home and love, great combination.
Love and hugs.
