perhaps it was just the whiskey colored evening when you were gentle in your fears not wanting those eyes to know your smile in case it became exposed somehow accidental and they saw me touch it with my wanting or that I was nervous too, but shoulder height easy and my arms wanted to tell you of my tattoos how they would fit your woman skin loverly but you kept them crossed on my lap and told me of being in love with him I wanted to be in love with you too, then when he was the only man you could see just to be there to see you that way daily and to be there after when you let him leave when you stopped believing in heaven momentarily before the diamonds in your eyes became your healing _____________ daark (circle of palms) |
