             o
             go
             ahead
             be reclusive
             it is only an adjective
             just a modification of you
             but we know all about
             risks you'll take
             what it costs
             what you can gain
and what you will lose if
we pause and let you become a noun

if you haven't been there be advised
the back wall of the cave
             will be dim
             damp
             and cold
             but the eyes will
see much deeper into the dark
see things others have quickly walked by

Dear Krawdad, this is very impressive. And it holds truth.

You...have always been lovely.

smile...

I once made a Mother Goose shadow puppet, simply by bending my hand just so, while wearing a long-sleeved laced-edge nightie.

VERY nicely done, Krawdad.
It is true, the cave both hides and reveals.

Love this poem with it's dark cave and deep insight, Krawdad. Fine writing on so many levels.
