Hope is a paper-thin butterfly wing
Daring to conquer the wind
It flutters to heights unimagined before
And is born of a power within

Faith is a mountain, unmoved by the storm
Watching butterflies flutter above
A perpetual boulder, though weathered and worn
Reaching upward to heavenly Love

Love is a flower that grows in the spring
On a mountainside fed by the streams
It is nurtured by water and butterfly wings
And survives through life’s dire extremes

The mind is a river meandering forth
The heart moves much deeper by far
It gathers the colors of butterfly wings
When you silently wish on a star

a most fine 'write'!

I am especially fond of the beginning:

"Hope is a paper-thin butterfly wing
Daring to conquer the wind
It flutters to heights unimagined before
And is born of a power within (!)"

seems, among other things,  a 'penning'
in anticipation of Spring!

serious applause!!

As always, a poem that needs to be heard and not read to fully enjoy.
A real treat.
