Tree seduction in blue

*

You stood in beauty,
proud and tall,
scattering
sky fragments of blue
into my mesmerized
eyes.

I leaned against you
for a long moment
and syntonized
my heartbeat with yours.

You emitted sighs
of pleasure
and induced me
to hug you tighter
pressing into the warmth
of your sun-heated skin.

You called for
the gentle breeze
to sway your crown
ever so graciously.

You seduced me
to close my eyes
and to set off
into the dimension
of pure awareness.

Absorbed
by each other,
rocked by waves
of unfathomable harmony,
we danced
as lovers dance.

On my hands I carried
your gift of love
in tiny drops of
translucent resin.
I inhaled your essence
and planted
the memory of you
to last deep within
till our next rendezvous.

Oh, dear Margherita, if trees could talk we'd all be better human beings for they would tell us stories of unfathomable glory.

But you hugged and you loved.  Beautiful.

This made me smile as my brother always calls me a tree hugger. I don't think he considers it a compliment but I do. Lovely words from a fellow "tree hugger"

Maga Margherita que Bonita, it was marvellous to see a post from you today. ~ and what a beauty it is! I am a hugger and lover of trees as well and enjoy reading, collecting, and writing poems about them ~ but that is to be expected, n'est-ce pas? ~ as we are soul-sisters!

Your pen matches the beauty of your spirit ~ and trees!

Yo dear Margherita,

Somehow I always knew you were a tree person.

This is good work.  The last trees on our block were removed last year.  It was hot last summer, because the trees wern't there.

The trees the city planted as replacements will be big in forty years.

Bones doesn't like the heat in the playground.  He's waiting, and his kids will enjoy the new trees.

I really love this Margherita. The harmony of tree and sky and poet is made all the more meaningful by the sense of a mutual seduction between them. Even the sky is alive in them!

Dear Margherita, I agree with James, that is one of your very best poems. I never thought that a tale about a tree could touch me so. A beautiful touching poem. love.

Living in the north country, I am surrounded by trees
and have become such a lover and hugger.
My favorite pastime is to watch them sway in
the breeze whether with or without leaves.
Beautifully written and wonderful sentiment.

Margherita,  In reading this, I picture you there, Then I picture the paper you wrote this down on, Sticking to your hands, and leaves in your hair and little fragments of bark stuck to your clothes. What a wonderful poem, and poetic picture.

Well done.
Love W. Tracey.

To love a tree is an expression of self-love. It's a subjective act from our still point.
Beautiful work.

I wish someone would have told me that cactus weren't trees.
