Listen

to the sigh
of a mourning dove,
the wail
of a solitary loon
gliding nowhere
on an endless pond,
missing his mate.

Tender is the peaceful mist
that gently kissed
wounded spirits
seeking solace 'neath
a melancholy moon,
as Luna turns the day-page
into a soul-searching night.

Even the dark raven
knows when to be silent.

Listen

to your heart beat
in synchronicity
with the universal rhythm.

Listen

to the sighs
for all returning
to the source
of all being.

Then listen

for the echo.

This is in honor of all our lost poet friends.

A beautiful tribute. I enjoyed this very much and I am filled with sadness that I never knew so many people who have graced this site with their work and the touch of their hearts.

Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told.

Oh, Kacy, I am, I am, I am (listening) and I thank you for all I am hearing - right now there is a movie on TV - I have no idea what it is about as I am not watching it, but oh, oh, oh, the background music, is so very slow and so very beautiful and it is a perfect background for your poem of harmonic reverence.  Thank you for this exquisite gift for Marge, and all Pipsters who hav gone before her.  It is so very worthy of Marge.  Thank you for sharing the beauty of your soul and your pen with us.

I've read it a few times, and I'll savor it some more...

And yanno? I love your poetry, but I truly wish you'd write a cookbook.

It's taken me nearly 48 year to figger out I don't eat proper.

(And Karen loves a burger, too. I just can't eat one of those while looking at a cow.)

It may be time for a change.

Lawsy but I love you.

You are inspiring.

thank you, kacy for being so determined to be you.

Karen, a cookbook? LOL. It would be a vegetarian cookbook yanno, with maybe a  shrimp, halibut, or tilapia recipe. For you, a vegetarian gumbo with Cajun sauce and a 'dirty rice' veggie style. LOL, love you lady K.

Jo! I was wearing my beautiful necklace all day, thinking about you! I absolutely love the healing stones, and feel energized whenever I wear this precious necklace.
Then when I came home I find you here visiting! WOW, talk about timing!
I am making you a special meditation gift soon, featuring indigenous clays and stones from PA, kinda like a mini Zen garden. I hope to send it next month, if my hands cooperate. My fingers tingle and stiffen up with arthritis type symptoms after chemo, and it takes four or five days for them to recover. Chemo sucks, but since the tumor is shrinking, I am ok with these torture sessions. LOL.
