Baring My Soul
by Linda L. Dowd

I lay bare my soul before you
~ in all humility and without pretence.
My eyes behold none other
than you who claims to love me so.
Pride oft goes before a fall
and I am falling into a pool
of bottomless devotion.
I shall be yours alone
as you are mine.
I am a part of you,
~ and you are of me.
As you breathe
~ so breathe I,
and forever we shall be
~ as one.

Yo dear Linda,

That always works, and it's the way it should be.

I really enjoyed the romanticism and the imagery of unconditional love in this poem.

Nice one EA

Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told.

Linda,

... and such a lovely soul you have to bare, my friend.  You are lovely as are your poems.

Yes, very romantic, dear Linda, but I feel our world isn't perfect enough yet for such unconditional and complete love.  Perhaps it's getting there which may account for all the changes.  Enjoyed as usual.

A delightful example of a giving soul, dear Angelo Terrestre.

This is very captivating and indeed it sounds as a wonderful commitment.

Love and hugs.

Romance divine and you have read enough of mine to know how much I enjoy that topic.   Love should be unconditional and you painted that quite well in this.

Beautiful positive romantic poem.
The picture, the words and emotions are married together perfectly.

You must have learned that in Shediac watching the sea roll in. (Smile)
