Unforgiving,
she leaves behind
a bitter sting of cold
to linger in her wake

and she alone
holds control
to immobilize
all that stands
within her path.....

She rules
with a vengeance,
raging...

swift and sharp breath
cutting to the core
where even raw emotion
cannot bleed....

Some,
would call her frigid,
but still..........she laughs......

Cold hearted,
though she might seem,
she can still bless the day
with golden rays

in her gentle persuasion
reminding one and all,
now in more subtle whispers
she calls....
never underestimate
what cannot be seen...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was here in the beginning,
and shall be in the end,
I can be your enemy
or your friend...
I am beauty, wisdom, and grace
although you shall never
see my face;
you would know me
by my name...
I am a one, and only....
and still the same.....
I am, I was, and always will be...
never doubt the power
that lies within me....
I loved this poem. Expertly crafted and encompassing the myriad aspects of the earth mother.
Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told.
Cold here too..... minus 24 yesterday morning.
This is an excellent write and there's always beauty in that kind of power.
Have to look for it and it appears.
