I cant tell you how I feel.
The words wont cling; they drift away,
intoxicated, slight, unreal,
resisting what I want to say

(how I know our love won't fade,
the things I dream when you are gone,
the things of which all want is made,
why absences go on and on).

They reel and stow away their charms,
distracted, shady, and aloof;
I'd rather have you in my arms
and whisper nothings, love, as proof.
