          Starry Winter Woods

Under a fine white winter moon
riding the time-ripples of eternity,

beyond a long forgotten road
that vanishes in these ancient-forest
hills of timeless starlit shadows…

everywhere trackless new-fallen snow
of gentle sound and form uncertain;
here...only serene, incorruptible beauty
  reigns supreme,
as the clear mind and subdued spirit
discard all worry, fear, and pretension,
(embracing only the infinite certainty of
   change)
to stir vast cosmic seas with a single dream.

Yo Secondhanddreampoet,

The "time-ripples of eternity" is very true.  That's what eternity does, it ripples.

The idea of all that snow makes my hands, feet, nose, and ears feel numb with cold.

Immersing oneself in the beauty and power of Nature is the key to discarding fear (unless, of course, one is caught in the middle of a blizzard, earthquake, tsunami, or hurricane!)

~ Yes, to be sure! Thank you for yet another winter beauty! It truly has had a calming effect on me!

Love your pristeen pen!

Bruce, this is beyond exquisite - and it is so hot here tonight, that wrapping all that snow around me is such a pleasurable thought!

Wow, I do love the poem and especially the last line, dear Bruce!

And I love ARH's picture too.

Love,
Margherita
