When I am happy and have a song in my heart,
   my book of poems is there, ever ready
   to give me a good start.

It has a red cover with gold lined sheets,
   I study the pages carefully one by one
   looking for stories and versus to make
   my day complete.

There are poems of rainbows, streams and trees,
   of rain and birds and the gentle breezes.
   Poems of the moon and stars with fantasies
   galore.  Stories of love and sharing that
   would make anyone's heart just skip a beat.

So my dear friends - I took all my medicines
   and threw them away.  I have my book of poems
   to help me make it through the day.

I agree, Ariana, sometimes it's the best medicine as I read for an hour or so each morning before leaving for work.

Ariana - a most beautiful write. I know when I'm feeling blue I put on some music and start writing for my book of poems. Keep writing, as this is good...
