cello dramatically as a hawking wind
strumming your palms across this dawn
you leaned into my eyes more deeply now
not as much of wing to flee my pen

perhaps there was a trusting moment's button
that you would push to validate this agony
the sweet and gentle tender sleeving kind
that we would unravel within your august

just a lover's sip of your fine fifty
room temperature’d without sun in windows
and would my mind have such unsure hands
to worship the vase as much as the wine

would my poems be back to back tomorrows
with mirrors would they make the moments
we folded into a vagrants reality
our own secret sand of glass castles

covering their pebbles with our rippling

daark (circle of palms series)

Oh, I remember why I don't always respond...

generally because you leave me speechless.

Loving this, thanking you...

D

I have read this and it haunts me.  A poem that captures but can not be captured.
