Being a good Catholic boy,
Bones goes down to MDG
every Saturday afternoon,
and makes his confession
to Father John.

Father John’s
been in the hood
for years.

He baptized Bones
when Bones was
just a baby.

Father John knows the hood.

He knows all about Bones,
and what he does to live.

He knows that Bones knows
prostitution is a sin.

Father listens to Bones,
and gives Bones absolution.

Father doesn’t make a fuss.

Bones is at least set for
a good Sunday morning Mass,
and can receive communion.

Bobby

He is only 12 ish.  The priest shouldn't judge him.  The poeple who are guilty are the ones who take advantage of him.

The priests inquiries are maybe to help him more than to tell him hes bad.  I don't think the priest thinks bones is bad.

Thanks dear Juju,

Father John didn't judge him at all, and he made no inquiries.  He gave Bones absolution, no questions asked.  Father John knows our neighborhood.  Father John would never tell Bones he was bad.

Bobby - This is a good thing for Bones, to forget for just a little while...

Thanks Bill,

Yes, it was good for Bones.  Bones didn't like what he had to do.  Bones was a good person, and Father John knew the neighborhood.

Bobby, I don't know "MDG" but I could easily place this in "NDG," I think you know that Montreal neighbourhood. Mark

Mark,

No, I haven't been in Montreal for about 15 years.  I don't remember that neighborhood.

MDG was Bones, and is still my own beloved Roman
Catholic Church here in the hood.

It stands for "Mother of Divine Grace".  There is no way you could know that, unless you read all of the Bones series.

Thanks for kindly reading and commenting.
