When it came his turn to sell the seat
I guess he didn't play the game
That's how we came to know
that strange little Governor
with the funny name...
Blagojevich.
Somebody forgot to tell him,
When they throw you under the bus,
It's not polite to make a fuss.
He obviously doesn't understand politics,
he's not playing ball.
In the spirit of cooperation...
the fall guy is supposed to fall.

An enjoyable, yet thought-provoking, witty piece. Mark

Yo dear Ida,

Bagojevich is not a funny name.  You should check out some of our names here in the hood.

I absolutely LOVE that ending.  Yeah, the fall guy is supposed to fall.  If he's quiet and repentent he can come back quietly and everyone will like him again.  Look at the former governor of New York.

Dear Ida, Mr whats-his- name sounds like some of our politicians over here, but

don't be too hard on him, he's probably doing his best. Forgiveness my dear, forgiveness. Love to you dear Ida.

I liked this one. It's a very thought provoking poem.

But I often wonder, is it better to simply fall for the greater good? Or to go down doing what you've always done, your best?

Never sigh for a better world, it's already composed, played and told.

When it comes to politics, I can't help but wonder at the scene behind the scene.  Your point is well taken in a humorous, but also very apt way.  ~ Karen
