Barrets and bottoms,
out to there.
Legs, and legs
I stop to stare.
Floral patterns
black and red.
Roasting beans
assail my head.
Java java in my cup
a taste of city
I do sup.

A feral scent
creeps up my nose.
Wild eyed man
in layered cloths
goes past my spot
as people part,
Moses' staff
a shopping cart.

Vendors hock
shinny wares.
Beggars plead
for ones to care.
Tourists amble
threw the shops
dealers dodge
peddle cops.

Gritty street
oh avenue
Back alley beet
a rythym cue.
Best to finish.
on our way.
pull up thoughts
brace the day.
