Wonder Nots

I sometimes wonder if God cares
for those who have no shoes to wear
upon their sore and swollen feet,
who have no homes, no hopes to eat,
and wander aimless through our streets
in every town, most everywhere.
I wonder if God sees — does care.

I sometimes wonder if God cares
for those who pray in simple prayers,
as children do on bended knees
for Fathers gone, and do their pleas
reach Heaven’s throne or do they cease
upon the tearful beds, the chairs.
I wonder if God feels — does care.

I sometimes wonder if God cares
for those who, lost in deep despair
of war torn country’s endless fight
between the left wings and the rights,
imagine still a dream, a light
of Freedom’s scent, of Sovereign’s air.
I wonder if God knows — does care.

I sometimes wonder if God cares
for those without a home, a prayer,
or country wherein they’re embraced
and, then, within, I see each face
of those who asked and given Grace
received a portion, none compared,
of seeing, feeling, knowing shared …

… and ‘wonder nots’ if God does care.

God bless,
Lighthouse Bob

Keep praying!!!

Bob,

God leaves the caring up to his creations.  It's called free will.

And sometimes, we receive grace without asking... in more abundance than we would have dared ask. *S* Beautiful work!

Dear Bob,
thank you for the heart touching reminder. As God's offspring we should do so much more, because God really cares that we learn our lessons of LOVE.

Beautiful, significant write.

Love,
Margherita
