Just Blathering Away
by Linda L. Dowd

There's nothing of import
in this mind of mine today.
~ No pearls of wisdom,
postulations, hypotheses,
nor any of my druthers.
It's a 'go-with-the-flow',
sort of 'wait-and-see', kinda day.
Just taking a break
from the merry-go-round
of days always following days.
I can do that, you know!
After all, I AM my own employer
~ and I'm the best boss that I've ever had!
Only the best for my employees!
~ Me, myself & I !!!
...Now, where was I?
Oh, yes, I was talking about nothing!
Don't suppose I'd get into trouble with that!
~ Won't offend the critics or
those with pickles firmly ensconced within!
I certainly couldn't put my foot in
my mouth 'cause it is
zipped de doo dah today!
And besides, I ain't sayin' nuttin'!
Ooops! Did I just say somethin'?
Sorry, didn't mean to offend.
That brings me to another point ~
I don't have any!
~ At least not at this time
because just for today,
I'm only making much ado about nuttin'!
~ and dems the facts folks!

Hello Angel of Earth

I can do that, you know!
After all, I AM my own employer
~ and I'm the best boss that I've ever had

If everyone realized this, think how many would feel that peaceful feeling when taking care of business.  A light-hearted but serious poem.  I like the way you think!!

what a relaxing day to let the mind wander and the pen flow here and there and everywhere.
Or
Have a day of venting. You pour out the angry words. Then go back and make it look nice for other eyes to see.
Relax girl and enjoy the day.
Hugs

My boss is like a diaper, he's always on my butt, and half the time he's full of musturd.

Dear Linda, you need to give yourself a raise and an employee of the year award too!

Oh, and you can boss me around anytime.

You can blather with the best of them and a most wonderful blather this is indeed.  It's down right ducky!  I love the attitude in that little duck girl - and I love the attitude in you.

Pickles?  Musta been the sour kind.  heheheh!
I think bread and butter pickles are the kind we self-employed probably like most, with lotsa sweetness and vinegar!  Sigh... I'd toss 'em all out for ambrosia.
