Romeo Must Die

I'm not saying I'm Romeo,
in fact I wouldn't want
to be Romeo...Why?
Because Romeo must die.
Why...because he broke
rule number 2, you know
about the rules don't you?
Rule number 1...Don't ever
go anyplace without you gun.
Rule number 2...Don't leave
a soul alive to tell on you.
Well, Romeo left someone alive
one day and now Romeo has to pay.
He let a pretty young thing get away.
In fact, he even arranged her escape
and I wouldn't be surprised if he was
going to meet her in a secret hidaway
in Argentina or Vienna or Hong Kong,
where they will rendezvous before too long,
perhaps on a rain soaked night in December.
And I sincerely hope that Romeo makes it there
because he needs a woman as sweet as her that cares
and I wouldn't want to see that pretty woman cry,
and she would, she truly would
if Romeo were to die.

Yo James,

Romeo did die--Act V, Scene III.  As you know, everyone's having it done.

Oh! I like this one, from the title to the ending---it caught me and held me.  Especially the rain soaked night in December--that's evocative, specific, and I could breathe it.

Well now.

Y'had me with the title (because even though Romeo died I never really cried too hard) shame-shame-shame-on-me

And James? I must confess that I thought I had ya tagged, but this one?

It's kinda like a bunt with the bases full.

Very much enjoyed.
