I dont know what Im doing here Picking myself up just to fall back down Running away from all the people I thought I knew Can you see the pain inside of me Self destruction that sneaks up from behind If I let you in, you might tear me apart But I just cant seem to keep you out I feel at home surrounded by darkness The answers never come to me Questions only outline my sorrow Im wasting all my time thinking about the failure I have become The disadvantage is mine This disease, I carry with me A tear forms in the corner of my eye I'll trust you with my life But I won't share my thoughts My perspective of this is fading away Im losing touch with my inner being Dont waste your time But please dont ever leave I dont know what I want from you And I dont know what you see in me Dont waste your time But please dont ever leave I cant let you in Im scared youll tear me apart Youre saving my life But youre stealing my heart Emily Shives |
