We people are a funny breed
So much the same but different too
Created by life’s loving seed
Which grew to be both me and you

Our features they are much the same
But minds do differ in their thought
So often I think what a shame
That love within that heart shows naught

The pleasantries some do not share
Unless the need for what you own
Their eyes avoid as does their care
Surely they must live alone!

A shame that genes do alter so
That love and joy can’t reach above
That some do wander more below
While never really finding love

Yes, people are a funny breed
I’ve not the answers that I’d like
But one day more will be the need
To find out why we’re less alike

understanding this. I usually suspect shyness. I have learned to send an extra smile to them. I was always the shy one until I learned  others are just as shy. A smile or nod breaks the ice sometimes. So many lonley people as you say. It is sad.  best to you. I enjoy your writing."late"

Good to see you here late, there are so many sad people out there, I smile to them all, it is sad though that it does not come naturally to others. Thanks for your reply my friend.

Some cultures show respect by not looking into the eyes of another; other cultures say that shows a lack of strength.

But to smile at all, no matter what return you receive, is the best and easiest gift one can give, daily, hourly...and especially in one's mirror.

Thank you, m'friend!

Dear Sunshine, we all live our lives as we can, do what we must and choose to, I accept all people as they are but sometimes my expectations are a little higher I think, thank you for your reply my friend, always nice to see you here.

Rick my good friend, That is not only a lovely poem to read it is also very

cleverly put together. A real touch of the master's hand. Take a bow, you wrote it well.
