My Mum Is A Survivor

Put the photo away now mum
You know that he is gone
His life is no longer with us
But your life must go on,

It hurts me to see mum so sad
She sits for hours in his space
She doesn't really understand
Why she can no longer see his face,

My mum is a survivor
But she can not understand
Why her husband is no longer there
when she reaches out for his hand,
